Beginner to intermediate levels are welcome to develop their painting skills by capturing the shapes and forms of arranged objects with a shore theme. Explore the natural beauty of shells and other found objects by using color, value/shading, texture and composition to enhance your technique. Instructor will suggest ways to start your painting, as well as provide tips along the way. We will have an open discussion and critique at the second class to supplement the learning process .
Bring your own art supplies to the Painter’s Loft; easels and rolling tables provided by LBIF. Due to space considerations, we suggest you bring a canvas no larger than 16 x 20.
About Leslee Ganss:
After graduating from the Philadelphia College of Art, where she studied painting and illustration, Leslee Ganss joined the fledgling SandPaper, and was Art Director until 1996. Currently she designs books for Down The Shore Publishing, draws The SandPaper’s weekly “Artoon” (now in its third decade), paints and pursues a myriad of creative projects.
