Join us for a day of learning and exploration here at LBIF. Your day will consist of a workshop that will guide you through a unique project, time to share & brainstorm lesson plans, and provide you with a creative outlet for yourself! Registration form below.
- Workshop Description: This all-day workshop will introduce the basic principles of Silkscreen by experimenting with hand cut paper stencils. The process is simple and fun with attractive as well as unexpected, bold, and experimental results. Participants will learn the beauty of opacities, translucencies and transparencies of color and produce an edition on paper as well as printing on other surfaces such as t-shirts, wood, fabric and others.
Instructor Bio: About the instructor: Catherine LeCleire teaches Silkscreen and Painting Processes at Pratt Institute and Book Arts at Montclair State University, Montclair, New Jersey. She received her undergraduate degree from University of the Arts and MFA from University of Southern California. She is the recipient of the Walter Groupius Residency and the Konrad Printmaking Award. Catherine shows her work nationally and internationally and is in several major collections; Baku Museum of Art, Hunterdon Museum of Art, New York Public Library, Lafayette College, William Paterson University, Huntington Museum of Art.
