In its 11th season, Science Saturdays at the LBIF tackles todays’ most pressing scientific, environmental, and sustainability issues that directly affect our shore community and the Barnegat Bay. Science Saturdays are interactive and informative hands-on presentations in an informal atmosphere.
Presenter: Joshua O’Connor, Port Agent, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Fisheries
Joshua will explain the history of the program which began in 1954 and how it has grown over the years to become one of the largest and oldest in the world. He will discuss the species that are tagged and explain the importance of tagging.
