Our “Edu-Taste-tional” harvesting event is a little bit educational, a little bit eating, and a whole lot of fun. Our Honey Harvest and Pollinator Potluck is hosted by the LBIF, in honor of Dr. Marvin Steinberg and presented by the LBIF Science Committee, Uriah Creek Apiaries, Long Beach Township and Alliance for a Living Ocean (ALO).

Michael Long, of Uriah Creek Apiaries and LBIF resident beekeeper kicks off harvest season at the LBIF. Mr. Long will harvest honey produced by the LBIF bees, and you will get a 1st look at the harvesting process of uncapping the combs and spinning out the honey, learn the important roles bees and pollinators have in making the foods we eat every day, and have a chance to sample many different pollinator inspired dishes. Your admission to this one of kind event is your Pollinator Inspired Dish, visit www.pollinator.org for recipe ideas.
