In partnership with The Advocacy Project the LBIF is pleased to present Advocacy Quilts: A Voice for the Voiceless an exhibition of wall-mounted quilts created by communities of survivors of trauma and war. These communities come together to grieve and create something positive out
of their experience. According to The Advocacy Project groups of women in Guatemala who lost family in war participated in this project and “Quilting allowed them to speak out, develop skills, and produce works of art that keep their culture alive.”
