Lecturer: Laura M. Giles, Curator of Drawings & Prints, Princeton University Art Museum

One of the highlights of the Princeton University Art Museum is the extraordinary collection of modern European masterworks by Cezanne, Van Gogh, Modigliani, Soutine, and others, that through an agreement with the Henry and Rose Pearlman  Foundation has been on long-term loan to the Art Museum since 1976. Ms. Giles recently co-curated an international tour of this collection, which traveled to four countries before returning to Princeton last fall. In her lecture, she will delve into Henry Pearlman’s unique collecting vision, with a particular emphasis on the extraordinary group of watercolors by Cezanne, that he amassed over three decades.
