DESCRIPTION:In partnership with NJDEP\,  the Jacques Cousteau National 
 Estuarine Research Reserve helps communities better understand and commu
 nicate flood risks and impacts through MyCoast: New Jersey. This platfor
 m now offers state\, regional\, and national tools for users to submit c
 ommunity reports. By integrating tide\, weather\, and location data\, My
 Coast can help inform coastal decision-makers\, practitioners\, business
  owners\, and residents by tracking coastal change and hazards in order 
 to support communities and the places they love. See how community membe
 rs can collect data using the MyCoast app for Long Beach Island and surr
 ounding areas.\n\nAmanda Archer has served as the Training &amp\; Engage
 ment Coordinator at the Jacques Cousteau National Estuarine Research Res
 erve since 2022. Her work aims to foster resilience in New Jersey by dev
 eloping innovative tools and resources\, providing learning opportunitie
 s for community leaders and organizations\, facilitating collaboration a
 mong sectors\, and advancing nature-based strategies throughout the wate
 rshed and estuary. She is a Certified Ecological Restoration Practitione
 r in Training and serves as a Managing Director for the New Jersey Coast
 al Resilience Collaborative.
