A Message to our LBIF Community about the Corona Virus COVID-19:
We want to personally update you on a topic that is on everyone’s mind – the Corona virus (COVID–19) as it related to the LBIF. Our hearts go out to all who have been affected by this pandemic. The well-being of our staff, members, and patrons is uppermost in our consideration. We are following the recommendations we receive from the County, Township, and local government and are also following guidance from public health officials and government agencies.
Please note that the following plan will be in effect Tuesday March 17, 2020 through Tuesday, March 31, 2020.
We are closing our facilities to the public as a precaution to the spread of the virus. We are not offering programming for the remainder of March. Programs that were planned are postponed until further notice. This includes Science Saturdays, Saturday Drop–in Ceramics, Italian, Films, FRED talks, classes and lectures.
The Ceramics facility remains available to Winter Residents who have their own keys for access, but there will be no staff scheduled onsite until at least March 31, when we hope to re-open.
We look forward to resuming events as soon as it is feasible. Recognizing that this is a fluid, evolving and unprecedented situation, we will continue to monitor the situation daily and communicate updates as quickly as possible to keep you informed.
Spring is here, and the LBIF continues to be a wonderful place for people to connect with nature and recharge, as long as it is responsible to do so. Our Nature Trail is always open!
Feel free to email firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com. We will try to respond as soon as possible to your questions or concerns. As always, we thank you for your continued support during this time. We wish you and your family continue to stay safe and healthy, and we look forward to seeing you soon.
