Plates, Platters, and Nothing Else Matters is a National Juried Competition and Exhibition of approximately 75 wall-hung ceramic works. The Juror is Roberto Lugo, an artist and educator at the Tyler School of Art, Temple University. The Juror will award prizes at the opening reception.

LECTURE: A Table for Everyone with Roberto Lugo

Date: Sunday, July 29 at 4:00 – 5:00pm

Artist and activist Roberto Lugo uses the power of pottery as a platform for change. His work addresses issues such as race, poverty, and social inequality, exploring the dynamics of identity and personal narrative as sources of inspiration. In this lecture Roberto will discuss the current trends in contemporary craft in the modern art world. He will also discuss the importance of the need for more accessibility within the arts.
