 ght along the Long Beach Island shore\, this workshop will focus on stag
 ing and completing several Plein Air paintings\, offering participants t
 he best opportunity to capture the brilliance of light during the early 
 morning and late afternoon. Instructor and award winning Plein Air paint
 er Garin Baker\, will demonstrate and work with participants one-on-one 
 lending his methods and expertise towards this challenging aspect of dev
 eloping a greater sense of atmosphere\, richness of color and light\, wh
 ile bringing a visual truth to one’s work in a Plein Air setting.\nBIO
 \nGarin Baker’s artistic repertoire includes complex figure compositio
 ns\, simple portraits\, and numerous Plein Air studies of urban and rura
 l scenes. Baker’s work is a contemporary exploration of storytelling\,
  where each brushstroke seeks to capture the nuances of everyday life an
 d the essence of his subjects\, delving into deeper explorations of huma
 nity and truth. Baker graduated from Pratt Institute in the early 1980s.
  He is a member of the faculty teaching life painting and drawing at the
  Art Students League in NYC. As a professional muralist\, he has complet
 ed many iconic public art works across the United States and Europe. He 
 is bestknown in the public art realm as the creator of the 28 Blocks mur
 al in Washington\, DC. In addition to his Public Art\, Baker has exhibit
 ed in numerous galleries and received many awards\, including the Grand 
 Prize at Plein Air Easton and the Irvine Museum Award. He has also been 
 invited to The American Masters Exhibition in NYC several times. His wor
 k has been featured in various publications\, including The Washington P
 ost\, NY Times\, Chronogram Magazine\, American Artist\, Fine Art Connoi
