 ts will learn the fundamentals of consistently achieving a likeness in p
 ainting a portrait. What is necessary to achieve likeness is a sensitive
  observation of structure of features\, complexion of the sitter\, and u
 nderstanding of the way the light reveals the subject. These fundamental
 s are frequently overlooked! When the student is shown simple tools for 
 gaining understanding of these basics\, confidence results! Detailed dem
 onstrations will be given to illustrate each of the fundamentals. Worksh
 op will have a one hour break from 12:00pm - 1:00pm \nBIO\nPaul DuSold 
 is a representational\, figurative painter living and working in Philade
 lphia. He is a graduate of the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art. He has 
 painted portraits for many institutions in Philadelphia including Pennsy
 lvania Hospital\, Temple University\, The Franklin Institute\, the Union
  League of Philadelphia and many others. Paul’s work includes still li
 fes\, landscapes and figurative work as well as portraits. He has had ma
 ny one person shows in the Philadelphia area. Paul has taught painting f
 or over 30 years and is highly regarded as a teacher. Currently he teach
 es at the Fleisher Art Memorial and the Woodmere Museum as well as onlin
 e.
