Fee: $18 per class / Yoga Ticket Set – ten classes:$150

Restore and renew with a wide variety of yoga styles offered seven days a week outside on the LBIF deck overlooking Barnegat Bay. Begin with a relaxing warm up, followed by breathing exercises and challenging, satisfying asanas. Mats are available, but it is recommended you bring your own. All skill levels welcome!

Black Sheep Studios delivers a creative, no judgment, no ego workout and this summer they return to LBIF with their exciting and unique class offerings. Experience an inspired passion for fitness with each instructor’s infectious energy to get you moving each morning. Enjoy fun, challenging workouts overlooking LBIF’s beautiful marsh. *Indicates class is located at the beach directly across from LBIF. Participants must check in at LBIF to receive the class pass to be allowed entry into beach session.

DESCRIPTIONS OF FITNESS CLASSES

Barre: Channel your inner dancer although no dance experience is required! Black Sheep Studios offers several different types of barre classes including cardio, Booty Barre, and Total Barre – you are at the mercy of your instructor! Barre combines Pilates, yoga and ballet moves to give you beautiful, sculpted lean muscles using small range movements. Props such as bands, balls, and 2lb. weights are incorporated.

Mat Pilates: Let’s get grounded and work that core! Mat Pilates is a movement program designed to work every muscle in the body in an efficient, focused manner. The exercises are designed to align, lengthen, and strengthen the body in unique way. This series helps clients develop true core strength and stability. Resistance props are incorporated to add variety and challenge. Come and get the core you have always wanted!

HIIT & Core: Don’t stop ’til you drop! This one hour HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) class will leave you sweating, panting, and sculpted all over. We’ll be working in various work-to-rest ratios to increase aerobic and muscular endurance. Props including mid-level weights, Bosu’s, and resistance bands, are used to challenge large muscle groups. It’s safe to say this class is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you’re gonna get. HIIT is a total body, heart pumping, aerobic and strength conditioning workout. This interval-based class combines full-body strength training with high intensity cardio bursts designed to tone your body and improve your endurance.

Boot Camp: Experience the best work out on the planet – use the sun and the wind to take your morning workout to the next level! We’ve created the ultimate outdoor workout using the best machine of all – our bodies. Challenging and fun, you will be doing drills for endurance and strength targeting specific muscle groups.

Resistance Band Training (RBT): Workouts designed by using resistance band training to challenge full body functional movements as well as isolate specific muscles that will sculpt your body and train it to feel and move better and of course to look better. Benefits of bands include: flexibility, mobility, balance, coordination, cardio, muscle strength, and power.

9/11 Meditation to Remember & Heal

Join yoga instructor and meditation teacher, Leah Healy, for a guided compassion meditation class in memory of those lost and for those still healing. During and long after tragedies such as 9/11, we are exposed to fear and anxiety that may increase our stress and deplete us. The practice of compassion meditation has been shown over time to help build our resilience to stress and to increase our capacity for empathy and positive feelings. It is a relaxing meditation that begins with compassion for ourselves and then extends to others. No meditation experience is needed to participate. Just comfortable clothes and an open mind.
