Drawing on Clay
While pottery is an art of its own, it can be expanded upon by use of illustration and color to bring something new to the work.
Sgraffito is a technique where a painted layer is scratched through to reveal a contrasting color underneath. We will start with a basic handbuilding project, so the focus can be placed on design. Our instructor Christina will go through different methods of creating illustrative scenes and carved designs on clay. Any experience level is welcome.
