The SOBG scholarship fund supports graduating seniors from MATES who attend college to study environmental sciences; saving our future.

A program during the event will be presented by Virginia Rettig, Manager of EB Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge, and Kimberly McKenna, Stockton University Coastal Research Center Associate Director. They will discuss the NJ Bay Islands Initiative, formed in 2020 to address the concerns about the loss and erosion of the islands of Barnegat, Little Egg, Great and Absecon Bays. They will present the challenges and solutions this coalition has been working on to improve the resilience of our islands.
