Responsible Stewardship of New Jersey's Valuable Marine Resources

On January 20th, join the LBIF and Doug Zemeckis via Zoom as he discusses Valuable Marine Resources.

New Jersey has over 140 miles of coastline along the Atlantic Ocean, plus all of the coastal bays and rivers throughout the state, supporting very productive marine ecosystems. Our marine resources within these ecosystems are central to the fishing, aquaculture, and coastal tourism industries. The long-term sustainability of these resources, industries, and coastal communities hinges on the adoption of responsible stewardship practices among those who live, work, and recreate along the coast and throughout the whole state.

This presentation will cover the diversity and value of New Jersey's marine resources and industries with an emphasis on responsible stewardship practices and citizen science opportunities for people to adopt in Ocean County and throughout the state.
