Harvey Cedars resident Sara Michaels, who has brought the finest jazz to the Foundation since 2016 is pleased to announce her debut album of nine original songs “Chapter 1: Full Circle” which  was released this year, is doing well in syndication, and is now available on all streaming platforms.

For Sara Michaels, an accomplished jazz vocalist, singing comes from her soul, and her heartbeat resonates with audiences. Weaving storytelling into live performances, Sara takes listeners on a “joy journey” through her beloved musical genre – jazz. Initially singing in the church, she brings a history in spiritual music, classic blues, and musical theater to the stage. Going beyond the stage and the recording studio, Sara has produced various jazz series and concert events. Since 2013, she has produced the Jazz Cocktail Hour at the Uptown Knauer Performing Arts Center in West Chester, PA, and the Long Beach Island Foundation of the Arts and Sciences during the summer season. In addition, Sara is embarking on collaborations with dancers and other creatives and art forms in concert settings, videos, and film. This compassionate artist has a goal to spread awareness of “music as medicine” and the power of music therapy in hospitals, schools, and workplaces. She was featured this year on WHYY’s arts program “The More You Know” as a vocalist at the prestigious Andrea Clearfield Zalone in Philadelphia PA.

Sharon Sable is one of the region’s most beloved interpreters of song. The award winning vocalist’s musical journey has taken her from recording with international pop stars such as Pink to performing regularly with the regions finest jazz musicians and even sharing the stage with the legendary Stevie Wonder at an impromptu performance in Philadelphia PA. Originally from Pomona NJ and now based in Wilmington, DE, she and her band mates have performed to sold out audiences across the region. Sharon, along with her husband guitarist E. Shawn Qaissaunee recently opened for legendary jazz guitarist Stanley Jordan and featured as well at the Internationally know Clifford Brown Jazz Festival. Sharon’s singing is pitch perfect and truly one of a kind. Her delivery is sincere, fetching and demonstrates exquisite vocal prowess.  Sharon Sables latest release “Once Upon a Summertime” features the music of Blossom Dearie, with pianist and arranger Joe Holt of Maryland and bassist  Amy Shook of Washington DC. It has received both national and international airplay and rave reviews.
