Learn about mindfulness and how art is used to engage in the benefits and practice of being in the present moment. Learn techniques to reduce stress, improve attention, well-being, deepen empathy, and bring awareness to the present moment. You will better understand the interplay of mind and body for being focused in the creative process, while learning about using one’s breath, developing awareness of focus, concentration, and calming the mind. No art training experience is necessary! The process of creating art will be explored, not the outcome of artwork. Creative techniques using drawing, painting and clay will increase deeper engagement to become into the flow of creativity and meditation.
