ANNUAL APPEAL INFORMATION
As LBIF enters its seventy-eighth year, our prominence as a cultural anchor on Long Beach Island continues to grow. Our offerings in the arts, sciences, tennis, ceramics, music, children’s camp and other cultural events continue to expand—all from the backdrop of one of the most magnificent vistas on Long Beach Island. The importance of the arts and sciences cannot be overstated. They bring our community together and enhance and expand our understanding of the world and all the beauty it has to offer.
During the 2025 season, the LBIF presented exceptional art exhibitions, hosted renowned curatorial leaders in the visual arts, provided science programs, summer camp for generations of campers, classes in the humanities, artist residencies, musical concerts, independent films, innovative dance and ballet, theater, nature tours, and countless other scientific, educational and cultural programs. We are so proud of our outstanding tennis/pickleball facilities and our state-of-the-art ceramics studio.
What has sustained the LBIF for the past 77 years is our members, who have given the Foundation their generous and unwavering support. To put it simply, the LBIF would not, and could not, exist without you. Today, we ask you to renew your Membership and consider providing additional support with a gift to our Annual Appeal.

Becoming a member of the Long Beach Island Foundation of the Arts & Sciences means joining a vibrant community that values creativity, discovery, and connection. Members receive year-round perks like discounts on classes and workshops, early access to summer camp registration, invitations to special events, and the opportunity to showcase their own work in the annual Member, Student, Faculty Exhibition.
Your membership directly supports LBIF’s mission to inspire curiosity through the arts, sciences, and cultural experiences. By joining, you’re helping sustain our 22-acre campus, nurture local artists and educators, and keep programs accessible to the entire community.
Last year’s Annual Appeal was specifically dedicated to the replacement of the roof on our children’s camp buildings. We raised over $100,000 for that project and supplemented those donations with reserved capital funds that enabled us to install new air conditioning and heating to those camp buildings. These improvements made for a much more enjoyable environment for our campers and allows us to use these facilities year-round. Not only do we want to thank and recognize those members who contributed to the Annual Appeal last year, but we want to extend a special thanks to Jay Madden for his project stewardship and JS Pro for bringing the project in on time and on budget.
Now it’s time to finish the summer camp project. The funds raised this year through the Annual Appeal will be dedicated toward the replacement of the windows and decking in the camp buildings, both of which have substantial rot. This final piece of the renovations should help preserve that portion of our campus for the next 20 years.
