Internship in the Arts
Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Intern to join our dynamic team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a professional environment while contributing to meaningful projects. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, adaptable, and possess strong communication skills. This position is designed for individuals looking to develop their skill set and gain valuable insights into the arts.
This position is ideal for a current Undergraduate or Graduate Student, or recent Graduate. We offer a variety of paid internships throughout the year. The candidate ideally lives within a 45 minute commute from the LBIF. A resume and three references are required.
Duties
- Assist with daily operations and administrative tasks to support team members.
- Engage in training sessions to enhance skills relevant to the internship.
- Assist in Gallery operations, artist exhibitions, film and musical concerts.
Experience
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in a relevant field (e.g., BFA, MFA, Marketing, Communications).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is preferred.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn new concepts quickly.
- Previous internship or volunteer experience is a plus but not required. This internship provides an excellent platform for personal and professional growth while allowing you to contribute positively to our organization. We look forward to welcoming you aboard!

Internship in the Arts and Sciences

Responsibilities
- Assist in the development of projects.
- Collaborate with the art direction team to create visually appealing marketing, layouts and graphics.
- Utilize Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign) to produce high-quality designs.
- Engage in social media and photography projects, capturing compelling images that align with our brand vision.
- Maintain organized files and documentation for all projects.
Experience
The ideal candidate should possess the following skills or be eager to learn:
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign )
- Familiarity with graphic design principles and visual communication
- Knowledge of photography techniques and processes
- Customer service, community engagement, volunteer work, extra-curricular participation.
We offer limited internships throughout the year, with the greatest number of positions June through August. These internships are designed for individuals who are eager to learn and grow within a creative environment. Teacher for Ceramics Studio
Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher to join our educational and artistic team in Ceramics. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to fostering a positive learning environment and will be responsible for developing engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students. This role requires creativity, patience, and the ability to inspire students in their academic and personal growth.
Duties
- Develop and implement curriculum that meets educational standards and caters to the varied learning styles of students.
- Create lesson plans that are engaging, interactive, and aligned with learning objectives.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to maintain a conducive learning environment.
- Utilize various teaching methods, including hands-on activities, discussions, and multimedia resources.
- Foster a nurturing atmosphere that encourages student participation and collaboration.
- Assess student progress regularly through formal and informal evaluations.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with educational trends.
- Handle the technical demands, studio maintenance demands and responsibilities of teaching in a state-of-the-art ceramic studio.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in teaching studio ceramics.
- Experience working with children in various settings, including early childhood education or special education.
- Familiarity with curriculum development and lesson planning techniques.
- Skills in behavior management and understanding of childhood development principles.
- Ability to create an inclusive classroom environment that accommodates diverse learners.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, along with the ability to engage students effectively.
- A BFA or MFA in Ceramics, and /or degree in Education or a related field is preferred; relevant certifications are advantageous. Resume and portfolio of work are required as are 3 references.
