Please join us for a unique opportunity for a presentation by Matt Futterman, New York Times Sports Journalist, about his new book THE CRUELEST GAME, book signing and Q+A to follow. This talk is free and open to the public.
THE CRUELEST GAME takes readers inside professional tennis and the lives of its biggest stars as no other book has in recent times. This is the book that will make you feel like you know these people intimately, and you’ll understand what they are expressing when they swing a tennis racket. It’s the book that will teach you what to watch for when you watch a big-time tennis match. Futterman will discuss, among other topics “What does it take to win, and what are the obstacles that even the best players in the world can’t always overcome.”
Matt is a veteran sports journalist and a senior writer for tennis and the Olympics at The Athletic, the sports division of The New York Times, following six years as a writer and editor on The NY Times sports desk. He has previously worked at The Wall Street Journal, The Star-Ledger, and The Philadelphia Inquirer.
