Oil + Acrylic: Sea Creatures Up Close with Linda Ramsay

Get inspired by the views of the Barnegat Bay marsh and the sound of crashing waves in this Oil + Acrylics workshop with Linda Ramsay, focused on painting the creatures that inhabit our seas. Using reference photos of jellyfish, crabs, octopus or fish, we will concentrate on their individual shapes, colors and keep the background out of focus to highlight the creature itself. Linda will live demo a sea creature painting at the beginning of class. The use of palette knives, squeegees and large brushes will be used to focus on painting loosely and adding details later. Beginner to Intermediate skill levels are welcome to learn acrylic and/or oil painting techniques. Easels and rolling tables provided by LBIF. Bring your own art supplies, call the office for a supplies list.
