Cyanotype with Luis Fonseca

Participants will learn the historic cyanotype process and create their own unique photogram artwork using light-sensitive watercolor paper. The workshop covers every stage of the process, from preparing the paper and designing a composition to exposing the image using sunlight (weather permitting) or UV light, rinsing the print, and preparing it for display. Participants are encouraged to bring personal objects, transparencies, or photographic negatives to incorporate into their compositions and add personal meaning to their work. No prior experience is necessary. Materials fee ranges from $10-$30, depending on paper size used.
